Film Summary - Pearl Harbor

On December 7, 1941, the Japanese Navy executed a surprise attack to unrivaled of the United States Naval bases of polish off-white Harbor, Hawaii. This is one of the most desolate attacks against the United States in hi invention, on with it, the Americans entered WWII. In the 2001 film driblet Harbor, these events are visualised by the love trigon between three characters; Rafe McCawley, Danny Walker, and Evelyn Johnson.\n same all films establish on actual events, the story has been alter to be made to a greater extent appealing to viewers. In this particular proposition film, compositiony elements have been changed. low gear of all, the love story that is the priming coat for this movie is completely fictional. Evelyn is non even based off a real character, intend there was no combat between Rafe and Danny, and there was no pregnancy. All these factors were added for dramatic affect. in time though the love story is not real, Rafe and Danny are based on actual Li eutenants George Welch and Kenneth M. Taylor, who jab down 6 Japanese planes during the attack. This scene of the movie is similarly slightly changed from what in reality happened. In reality, there were more planes flake off the Japanese with Welch and Taylor, scarce none had actually coolness any planes down only these two. In the film, Rafe and Danny were the only ones who went airborne and took out more than six planes. Another error is seen when, Dorris Miller, the African American cook, did not bear Captain Mervyn S. Bennions orders during the actual attack. He actually tried carrying the tribal chief to the first aid center, who refused and stayed in his post to give orders until he passed away. In reality, Miller did man a machine accelerator pedal but was not actually credited with a scratch off as portrayed in the movie. Another flaw of the film was when Rafe volunteered for the British Eagle Squadron without surrendering his invest as an American forces pilo t.
