Harold and Maude A young man, by the name of Harold, regularly attends funerals of stinkpot he does non know, fakes suicide, and drives a hearse seeking attention from his disconnected Mother. He meets a womanhood named Maude at one of the funerals. She is near 80 years old. She also attends funerals of people she does not know. They show together in this film and show how two marvelous people can create a relationship, forming an instant tie down and not letting how Society views their relationship interfere with their actions. Harold is a dour, pasty, unwholesome young man. He dresses in dark suits and has the palest booking in the beginning of the movie. He is trying to figure better what to do with his life. He knows he does not want to be anything like his rich, snobbish Mother who only cares about mercantile things. He does strive to get some sense of whim from his Mother. He is constantly faking his own shoemakers last in forepart of her to try to get an emotional reaction from her, alone to no avail. Harolds Mother is constantly trying to get him to enfolding and take part in their style of living. She set him up with calculating machine dates that are more suited to her mouthful than his. He scares them all away with his suicide skits. As morbid as these skits are they will make you laugh piece watch the film.

You can sense his begging for attention and not receiving anything in return other than the shock value from his potential difference computer dates. As they are leaving the funeral you see Maude walking in motility of everyone with this bright yellow umbrella. She has a concept of death and thinks that 75 years old is too young to die, but 80 years old is the perfect age to die.
